Cabernet Franc, a parent grape of Cabernet Sauvignon, is not often found in the US as a single 100% varietal. This year's Cabernet Franc from California graps is bolder and more full bodied than last year's, with a lot of tannin and very dry. Last year we made jut a half barrel, and it sold out quickly; this year we made a lot more! The high tannin content makes it a versatile wine to pair with almost any range of food- from beef, mushrooms, grilled vegetables, risotto, chicken, fish and turkey.
